Graduate Learning Outcomes

ATTITUDE

Referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 3 of 2020 concerning National Higher Education Standards and SPT-I/01 Competency Standards for UPJ Graduates, each graduate of the academic education program of the Architecture Department at Pembangunan Jaya University is expected to have the following attitudes:

ARR-S-2 Uphold human values in carrying out duties based on religion, morals and ethics;
ARR-S-3 Contribute to improving the quality of life in society and nation,
ARR-S-4 Act as citizens who are proud and love the country, have nationalism and are responsible to the state and nation;
ARR-S-5 Respect the diversity of cultures, views, religions and beliefs, as well as the original opinions or findings of others;
ARR-S-6 Work together, socially sensitive, socially responsible and environmentally friendly;
ARR-S-7 Comply with public and state law and discipline
ARR-S-8 Internalize academic values, norms, and ethics;
ARR-S-9 Demonstrate a responsible attitude for work in their area of expertise independently;
ARR-S-10 Internalize the spirit of independence, struggle, and entrepreneurship;
ARR-S-11 Behave honestly and with dignity;
ARR-S-12 Avoid disgraceful acts and not breach the law;
ARR-S-13 Behave fairly in professional practice and in daily life;

GENERAL SKILLS

Referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 3 of 2020 concerning National Higher Education Standards and SPT-I/01 Competency Standards for UPJ Graduates, every graduate of the Architecture Department at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya is required to have the following general competencies:

ARR-KU-1 Able to apply logical, critical, systematic and innovative thinking to the creation or application of science and technology that pays attention to and applies values of humanities in accordance with their area of expertise; 
ARR-KU-2 Able to demonstrate independent, quality and measurable performance;
ARR-KU-3 Able to analyze the implications of developing or implementing science technology that pays attention to and applies humanities values in accordance with their expertise on the basis of scientific principles, procedures and ethics in order to produce solutions, ideas, designs or art criticism.
ARR-KU-4 Able to compile a scientific presentation of the results of the study mentioned above in the form of a thesis or final project report, and upload it on the University website;
ARR-KU-5 Able to make appropriate decisions in the context of problem-solving in their field of expertise, based on the research findings and data analysis;
ARR-KU-6 Able to maintain and develop networks with mentors, colleagues, peers within and outside the institution; 
ARR-KU-7 Able to be responsible for the accomplishment of group work and to supervise and evaluate the completion of work assigned to members under their responsibility; 
ARR-KU-8 Able to carry out the self-evaluation process of the work group under their responsibility, and able to manage learning independently; and 
ARR-KU-9 Able to document, store, secure, and recover data to ensure validity and prevent plagiarism. 

 

KNOWLEDGE

Referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 3/2020 concerning National Higher Education Standards, SPT-I/01 Standards for Competency Standards for UPJ Graduates, and the Architectural Higher Education Competencies set by the Indonesian Architectural Higher Education Association (APTARI), every graduate of the Architecture Department at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya University is required to have the following knowledge:

ARR-P-1 Master building design techniques, including the selection and use of appropriate design methods, creative and innovative thinking techniques and the combination of the two techniques; 
ARR-P-2 Master scientific reasoning techniques including observation, analysis, synthesis, and logical and sequential thinking techniques;
ARR-P-3 Master technical knowledge of buildings that includes understanding rules or standards, structural systems, construction systems, utility systems, building materials, building utilization and maintenance systems, building safety, as well as understanding the building context of surrounding buildings, cities and its historical background;
ARR-P-4 Master the principles of sustainable eco-development in relation to design, including handling potential disasters; 
ARR-P-5 Master the techniques of presentation across different media (manual, digital, verbal, graphics and models) and use them creatively;
ARR-P-6 Master the development of vernacular and modern architecture;
ARR-P-7 Master the rules of two-dimensional and three-dimensional art using various media; and
ARR-P-8 Master the various supporting knowledge used in the design of building.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS

Referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 3/2020 concerning National Higher Education Standards, SPT-I/01 Standards for Competency Standards for UPJ Graduates, and the Architectural Higher Education Competencies set by the Association of Indonesian Architectural Higher Education (APTARI), every graduate of the Architecture Department at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya is required to have Special Skills as follows:

ARR-KK-3 Has insight into knowledge outside the area of study, related to urban development and urban lifestyle
ARR-KK-4 Able to utilize science and technology by taking into account the balance of nature and environment (Sustainable Development)
ARR-KK-5 Have an entrepreneurial spirit to foster the community welfare
ARR-KK-6 Have an English language certificate (TOEIC) and ICT certificate in a related skill.
ARR-KK-7 Able to compile architectural design principles that integrate the results of studies on behavioral, environmental, technological and architectural aspects;
ARR-KK-8 Able to design architecture independently using research-based design methods and to produce creative architectural work, which is a contextual approach to architectural problems and technically evaluated against architectural principles;
ARR-KK-9 Able to communicate ideas and designs in the form of graphics, writing and communicative models using manual and digital techniques;
ARR-KK-10 Able to present a range of alternative design options and to make choices based on architectural scientific considerations;
ARR-KK-11 Able to use the design to help supervise and / or implement environmental and building development.
